A Warm Welcome to House of Marbles

We are a FREE destination visit with ample free parking.

Open year round, we are based on an historic site of pottery making. Our main business is to produce quality vintage and traditional toys and games but you will find that there is so much more to do on our site than just shop.

Our working glassworks on site is just one of many reasons to visit us, alongside a variety of interesting museums, marble runs and other fun finds as well as a fully licensed daytime restaurant and lots more. Our shop stocks lots of fun and unusual products from a variety of companies, making us a great place to visit for unique gift ideas, a treat for the kids/grandkids or even for a little treat for yourself!

A visitor Attraction like no other

For kids & families

You will be entertained for hours by our wonderful array of marble runs, animated animals, fairground mirrors, penny press and our giant floating marble. You will also discover lots of interesting hidden amusements in almost every nook and cranny of our site, but we will let you discover these for yourselves rather than spoil all the fun – our top tip is to look for the secret door in the garden area and don’t forget to find our loveable snoring bear!

For the more discerning visitor

You can tour the site’s historic trail with museums of glass, games, marbles, and Bovey Pottery as well as our listed kilns. Many of our visitors find they can while away an afternoon or two just browsing our gift shop, glassworks and taking refreshments in our licensed restaurant.

The Range

From the ridiculous to the sublime, we have been manufacturing our unusual range of traditional games, puzzles, toys, marbles and glassware for many years. We are purveyors of fine curios, and you will see when you visit us that our collection of vintage and antique wares are rivalled only by our current range! Take a look at our toys, games and marbles in our online shop here.

We also sell a small range of products from our glassworks Teign Valley Glass on our website so take a look here.
